Harvard Vanguard, Normandy Real Estate Partners, Simpler Consulting, Cambridge Savings bankHarvard Vanguard Medical Associates and Normandy Real Estate Partners, one of the largest real estate developers, owners and operators of commercial office buildings nationally, today announced the groundbreaking of a state-of-the-art medical building for the Concord Hillside practice of Harvard Vanguard based in Concord.

The two-story, 50,000 square foot medical office building will be located at Concord Meadows Corporate Center and is scheduled to open in spring 2013.

“The new office will help us better meet the needs of our patients and allows us the ability to expand our services to include on-site radiology, pharmacy, visual services and more,” said Dr. Ronald Kwon, medical director of Concord Hillside Medical Associates. “We involved patients and care team members in the planning and design of the building and are incorporating new ways of delivering patient centered care.”

Focusing on a Lean facility design, Concord Hillside worked with Simpler Consulting to develop a building layout geared to improving care team communication and coordination and delivering more timely and efficient care.  The Concord Hillside practice currently offers pediatric and adult primary care, behavioral health, endocrinology, travel medicine and urgent care to its patients.

“Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates saw the value in our vertically integrated platform, which allowed us to design, permit, and finance the facility in a matter of months,” said Justin Krebs, Principal, Normandy Real Estate Partners. “Normandy is proud to partner with progressive organizations like Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, which recognizes that the requirements of doctors and patients are becoming ever more specialized, driving the need for state-of-the-art medical facilities not readily available in the market.”
